A neighbor brought over 4 abandoned kittens he found under a shed. The kids were thrilled but agreed that we could not keep them. We fostered them for a couple of days until good homes were found for all four. Long nights and many scratches from sharp little claws, but everyone did very well. Two of the kittens were adopted by our friends so we will get to see them grow!

We heard on the news about the opening of the new city library so we had to go check it out. There was a smell of newness everywhere, and fancy furniture and fountains and four floors of books, and even high tech check-out stations. It is a beautiful place but I miss the old smell of the old library....

We are so happy that Joy has come to live with us. After a week it's hard to imagine that she hasn't always been a part of the family. She has completely settled into our lives and is infecting us all with joy!
